Stories during a Dictatorship
From 2012-2019 the Maldives witnessed one of the most brutal dictatorship in its recent history. I had worked with an organization; www.emmenge.com creating stories around the life under the dictatorship in the hope of portraying some form of positivity and normality at a time when there was a collective injury. It was important to show Maldives as more than sandy beaches and tropical islands to the rest of the world.
